Playy Cancellation and Refund Policy

Introduction

This Playy Cancellation and Refund Policy (the "Refund Policy") governs your use of the online payment facility for ticketed events on the Playy Platform provided via the website at www.playy.life ("Playy") by EventScape Live Private Limited ("we", "us", or "our").

Please read this Cancellation and Refund Policy carefully.

Playy is an event hosting platform for companies, organizations, businesses and individuals who want to host events ("Events").

  1. These terms apply to all Playy users

    Please Note:

    In these terms, we use the definition "Host". These are the companies, organizations, businesses and individuals who use Playy as a platform to organize and host their Events.

    1.1. Users of Playy

    There are two different types of Playy users which these terms apply to:

    • "Organizers"

    If you are an Organizer, you are an individual, normally an employee, contractor or partner of a Host who are part of the team which helps the Host to manage, run and host Events. Organizers have special access privileges and are invited to access and use Playy by a Host.

    • "Participants"

    You are a Participant if you attend an Event on Playy. Participants are either invited to a specific Event by a Host or have signed up for a Playy account and attend an event using their account details. Participants also include Participants that have been invited by the Host to speak or perform at an Event, exhibit at an Event, or sponsor an Event.

    In these terms, unless specified otherwise, you are a "User" or "Playy User".

    1.2. Our role

    Events are organized and administered by the Host, not us. As long as we are a third party providing the platform for an Event to take place, we are not responsible and cannot be held liable:

    • if an Event is cancelled for any reason by the Host,
    • for how an Event is run,
    • for any content produced or activities carried out during an Event, and
    • for the conduct or Contributions (as defined in our Terms & Conditions) of any other Users.

    If we are also a Host, all User Terms equally apply to us.

  2. Complaints, issues and refunds

    If any of the matters listed above have caused an issue for you, or you have paid for a ticket to an Event and would like to discuss a refund, you should contact the Host, whose responsibility it is to deal with the matter.

    Playy acts as the agent to an Organizer who is hosting and promoting the event for which you purchase tickets. When you purchase a ticket for an event, Playy will be handling the transaction and collecting payment for the Organizer.

    Pricing and Availability

    As a platform for an Event to take place, Playy sells tickets on behalf of Organizers and does not control its availability and pricing. Tickets purchased on Playy may be subject to a per ticket non-refundable convenience fee along with applicable Taxes.

    Amount of Tickets per Event and / or per Customer or "Ticket Limits"

    When setting up an Event on Playy, Organizers may limit a specified number of tickets for each Event and / or for each Customer.

    Warnings / Restrictions

    Please check for any warning or restriction that may be applicable for specific events before purchasing the tickets.

    Purchase Confirmation

    If you do not receive a confirmation (in the form of a confirmation webpage or email) after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm the same from your ticket booking history whether or not your purchase has been confirmed. Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. Playy will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that your ticket was not purchased because you failed to receive confirmation.

    Refunds and Exchanges

    Before purchasing tickets, carefully review the terms and conditions. Playy will be unable to process exchange or refund after a ticket has been purchased.

    Billing Information Verification

    Some ticket purchases will be processed only after a billing address, and other billing information, has been verified. Occasionally, we receive incorrect billing or credit card account information for a ticket purchase that can delay processing and delivery. In these cases, Organizer's customer service will attempt to contact you, using the information provided at the time of purchase. If they are unable to reach you after their initial attempt, Organizer may cancel your purchase and may sell your ticket/s to another customer.

    Pricing and Other Errors

    If the amount you paid for a ticket is incorrect regardless of whether because of an error in a price posted on the website or otherwise communicated to you, or you are able to purchase a ticket before its scheduled on-sale or presale date or you are able to purchase a ticket that was not supposed to have been released for sale, then: Organizer will have the right to cancel that ticket (or the purchase for that ticket) and refund to you the amount that you paid. This will apply regardless of whether this occurred because of human error or a transactional malfunction of the web site.

    Cancelled / Postponed Events

    If events are canceled or postponed by the Organizer, Organizer will attempt to contact you and refund the amount as per the policy of the Organizer.

    Refunds (if applicable)

    If refund is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 - 10 business days.

    Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

    If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank, credit card, wallet or applicable account again. There is often some processing time before a refund is officially posted. If your refund has not happened after a reasonable number of days, contact them. Next contact the Organizer. If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at support@playy.life.
